Hector Rivera-Rosado

It is with both profound sorrow and boundless gratitude that we announce the passing of Hector Rivera-Rosado, a man of extraordinary spirit, on March 9, 2025. Born in the vibrant heart of Río Piedras Antiguo, San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 12, 1959, Hector's life was as rich and colorful as his birthplace. A beloved father and devoted son, Hector's journey took him from the sun-soaked streets of his island home to the bustling metropolis of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he spent the majority of his life. As Mark Twain once said, “The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.” Hector was one such man, living every day to its fullest.

Hector Rivera-Rosado was a man of many talents, his life echoing the vibrancy and diversity of the cities he called home. After a long and successful career, he embraced retirement with the same enthusiasm and zest with which he had approached his working years. Despite his professional achievements, Hector's greatest joy came from his role as a father. His love for his children was evident in everything he did. Hector was a guiding star, always there to provide support, wisdom, and love. His love for his children radiated from him like a beacon, illuminating the love that defines fatherhood.

Hector Rivera-Rosado was preceded in death by his loving mother, Maria Salgado, and his father, Rodolfo Valle. He leaves behind his children, along with countless friends and relatives who will forever remember him.
