Henry Lee Brown, fondly known as “Brownie/Brown Shoes” was born February 23, 1936 to Thurston Brown and Hellen Holmes in Laurens, South Carolina. At the age of Eighty Seven years old, he was called to glory, Monday, August 7th, 2023 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Henry Lee was the oldest of eleven children. He attended School in Asheville, North Carolina and graduated from Stephens Lee High School.
