It is with hearts full of memories, that we announce the passing of our dear father, John Leonard Dean, better known as Dean or affectionately as "Fatman" from his childhood days. John was born in Chattanooga, TN on March 25, 1950, and passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024. John lived a humble, loving, and compassionate life, filled with unique moments that shaped who he was and the lives of those around him.
John was a man of many talents. His creativity shone through his passion for cooking random meals, often inspired by watching cooking shows. Karate movies he loved to watch along with BET. He enjoyed taking long walks and finding miscellaneous things ( in his words when walking keep ya head down you'll never find nothing looking up )His humble beginnings in Chattanooga led him to Medford and Camden, New Jersey, where he spent significant years of his life. His professional journey as a garage door technician in a door company demonstrated his hard-working nature. He was a dedicated veteran, serving our country with honor and bravery. He found strength in his faith. As the Bible encourages us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Blessed be... the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Above all, John was a family man. He was never married but his family was his pride and joy.
