John Sturdivant III

–

Woodbury, New Jersey

John Lee Sturdivant III, or "Suge" he was also affectionately known by Unc by his nephews he grew-up with. After a long illness surrounded by his family, John has embarked on his greatest adventure on January 27th, 2025, to be with the Lord. Born in Chester, PA on August 18th, 1980, John spent his early years in Thorofare, NJ where he attended the West Deptford School system, where he graduated, before settling down in Woodbury, NJ.

John was a man of many passions - fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, dirt biking, and motorcycle riding, but what mattered most to him was his family. He was an adventurous soul, with a heart as big as his smile. Whether he was working in construction, detailing cars or spending time outdoors, John was always his genuine, authentic self. Even with his illness, John kept on living life with the love of his life Megan, right by his side every step of the way, be it a good or bad day for him.

John is survived by his loving fiancé Megan Martin, loving mother, Vasti Sturdivant, his sons Dorian Joyce and John Sturdivant IV, his siblings, Thomas Young "Bunky" (Robin), Rosalind Holmes "Ros" (Mark), Anthony Young "Darren", Lori Holmes, Wayne Young "Kent" (Cheryl), and his aunt Avry Hampton, Uncle, Roger Sturdivant (Yvonne) He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Wilson, and his brother, Jeffery Young "Quinn". He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces and many great nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
