Luis Torres

On April 8, 2026, Luis Torres, affectionately known as Goyi, closed his eyes to his earthly home and opened them to his heavenly one. Born on June 26, 1960, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Luis spent his 65 years of life touching hearts with his humble and loving nature. He resided in Camden, New Jersey for 50 years, where he left an indelible mark with his dedicated service as a mechanic and landscaper. His creativity shone brightly in both his hobbies and his role as a stay-at-home dad, a role he cherished deeply.

As the English poet Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote, "I am a part of all that I have met," and this quote resonated profoundly with Luis. His life was a testament to his belief that family was what mattered most. His children, Yolanda, Luis, Tania, Jonathan, Manuel, Cynthia, Brian, and his step-sons Joel, Orlando, and José Dejesus, will forever remember their father as a beacon of love and dedication. His legacy also lives on in the heart of his beloved granddaughter, Tania. He joins his parents, Miguel Torres and Santia Martinez, in peaceful rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.
