Bangelita Rosa

–

Camden, New Jersey

Bangelita Rosa, a woman of extraordinary spirit and love, passed away on July 29, 2026. Born on September 12, 1949, in Patillas, Marín, Patillas, Puerto Rico, Bangelita lived a life filled with laughter, creativity, and boundless love. Her effervescent personality and tenacity shone through in every aspect of her life. As the renowned poet Maya Angelou said, "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style," and thrive Bangelita did.

A dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant, Bangelita devoted her professional life to the Abigail House in Camden, New Jersey until her retirement. Her work was more than just a job for her; it was a testament to her caring, supportive nature. Even in retirement, Bangelita never stopped caring for others. Her home was always open, her kitchen always bustling, and her laughter always ready to fill a room. She had the rare ability to turn any situation into a joyous one, her funny anecdotes and tales never failing to bring a smile on everyone's faces.

But what mattered most to Bangelita were her children, grandbabies, and great-grandbabies. She is survived by her loving daughter, Yolanda Perez; her cherished grandkids Jeanette Villarini, David jr., and Jonathan Perez; and her adored great-grandchildren, Jadiel Suarez, Jayleen Suarez, Jaiden Suarez, Valentino Villarini, and Layla Villarini. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrea Ortiz Soto and Eugenio Martinez. Her love for her family was a beacon that guided her through life, and it remains as a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide her family in the years to come.

Bangelita Rosa's life was a sonnet of love, laughter, and resilience. She was a woman of immense strength, who turned every challenge into a stepping stone. She will be deeply missed but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. We encourage all who knew Bangelita to visit her memorial page, share your favorite memories, and upload photos that celebrate Bangelita's radiant and loving spirit. As we remember her, let us strive to live life as she did - with laughter, kindness, and an unwavering love for family.
